What does XTravel offer?
XTRAVEL offers reservations to Romanian hotels, pensions and apartments with immediate confirmation and discounted negotiated rates, car rental at special rates anywhere in Romania, travel packages dedicated to art, wellness, sport, relax and much more.
Hotel reservations for travellers
Making a reservation.
Most hotels and pensions have rooms reserved and guaranteed for us. After you have made the reservation you will receive an email as answer to your reservation request.

The email contains more details about your reservation and an attachment form called Credit Card Authorization.

In order to confirm your reservation you will send by fax to us the filled in form "Credit Card Authorization" there, you have to indicate your credit card data as well as a deadline of use: after that date we will not be authorized to use the credit card as a guarantee of the reservation.

As soon as your credit card will be registered (it usually takes at least one working day) you will be informed by e-mail that your booking is confirmed.
What does the credit card authorization mean?
Is a form that guarantees your reservation, no money will be taken from your credit card. If you would be forced to cancel your reservation, you can do respecting the Cancellation Policy, without any cancellation fees.
How do I pay for the booking?
Usually your credit card is required only as a guarantee of the booking and it is not charged before your stay. The payment of the total amount will be made directly to the hotel, either with your credit card or in cash.
Or, you have the option to pay by bank transfer. But we need to receive the full payment at least 10 days before your arrival to ensure your reservation.
During special events or accordingly to the hotel's own rules, you may be asked to pay the reservation in full or to make an immediate deposit by your card to confirm your reservation.
Are taxes included in the price of the reservation?
Yes, taxes and VAT are always included in the total price of the reservation.
Are there other costs or service fees?
No, the price showed on the reservation is the total price you will pay. No fee is required by the system neither for cancellation of your reservation.
A penalty could be charged by the hotel only for no-show or late cancellation made after the "cancellation deadline". See the "Cancellation Policy" on your reservation details.
What is the Voucher and how do I print it out?
The Voucher is a receipt which contains all the data relating to your booking. It is also the document which you have to produce when you arrive at the Hotel.
Your accommodation voucher will be ready 10 days before your arrival, after authorization of your credit card. You will receive the voucher by e-mail. If you cannot print it out, but the booking has been confirmed, you must contact us so that we can either send it to you by fax or advise the Hotel that you will arrive without a voucher.
Is the price per room or per person?
In general, accordingly to international hotel usage, prices are per room. We recommend, however, that you check the terms set out in the hotel's booking form carefully.
Is breakfast included in the price of the room?
Usually yes, but when you are making the booking, all the information about the type of service chosen and what is or isn't included in the price is clearly stated on the Room Rates details.
Cancellation of a reservation
How can I cancel a booking?
To cancel a booking, please contact our Customer Support fill the form below, your name and e-mail address will be required, at the Subject, type: Cancellation Reservation - "Your Name", at Comments field please let us know : The Hotel Name you have reserved and the arrival and departure dates. Then click on the blue button "Submit".

In case you are not able to access Internet to cancel your on-line booking you are required to send a fax to (+40)-268 324 322 respecting the cancellation deadline. However if you have the necessity to cancel during the weekend or on public holidays, please contact directly by telephone at (+40) 788 268 101.
If you are leaving and you fear not to be able to access your e-mail, we suggest you to indicate a mobile telephone in the notes of the reservation, so that we can reach you in case of necessity.
What is the "Cancellation Policy"?
The hotel can require a maximum time limit by which you can cancel without be charged by penalty. If you cancel the booking after this limit, the hotel can charge your credit card with an amount as a penalty for the unsold rooms.
Before confirming your booking definitively, you are shown with the following data: the date, the time of the cancellation and the penalty amount.
The value of the penalty is decided by each hotel and can vary from the first night to the total amount of the booking (you can see it in the Hotel's page).
How can I change a booking?
Once a booking has been sent, you can't change it directly. To make a modification, you have to send a message giving the correct booking information and stating the changes that you want to be made.
How works the car booking?
The rental service is run together with EUROCARS.RO, our partner and one of the main Romanian suppliers. The car rental service is available all over the country, near the airport or in the main Romanian cities. You can reserve the car trough us or directly to

Are there any discount or special rates?
In our home page check carefully the page "Discover Our Special Offers" if there are available special rates for the hotel you want to stay in, so click on hotel link to see all these special rates. Sometimes we can offer additional discounts, so check always our special offers. Please, do not hesitate to contact our reservation office with the request for discount.
How do you protect my personal data?
Credit card numbers are deleted immediately after departure from the hotel and personal details are kept on a safe place for the accounting reasons. Your personal information WILL NOT be provided to a third party.

Your e-mail address will not be use to send spam or advertising. Your e-mail address will be used only to send you messages about your reservations or by the hotel you have booked.

Your address can not be given to anyone apart from the hotel you have booked or the provider of the service you have required.

This descricion is real far away from a terror movie. Motanul Galanton PENSION Firs of all I would said that the only problem that I have in Rumania whit a pension whas the next one. I have been in others in Sighisoara (Transilvania) for example and it where really good. But this is another description. 2 th april 2008, 11 pm, Me and a friend where close to Bucarest airport looking for a pension to avoid the previsible problems due to NATO miting in Bucarest. When we arrived to the pension the treat in the recepcion was good, no problem. The room was fine as well. The problems apears later, at 12am in the night, the music in the recepcion was really high, imposible to sleep. We where to speak with the recepcionist and we find a small party in the saloon, 7 people totally drunk, but we explained to the reception man that we want to sleep, he said that there was no problem, they where going to reduce the volume of the music. We returned to our room, the music was reduced but was not enought so at 2am in the night we went again to said that whit this sound was impossible to sleep. We explained to the recepcionist and the manager of the pension, whom where totally drunk that we where spanish and we understand party but we thought that at that hour (thuesday 2am in a pension) it was no reasonable and that we wanted the total stop of the noise. The answer where that the only posibilitie was to change the room, not to stop the party or the noise. We answered that it was not enought and in this case we want back our money. Far away of apologized they( 7 people drunk) begun to insult us, they put the maximun volume etc etc, it is no easy in a foreing country to speak with this kind of people. What can you do when the manager of a pension insult you totally drunk and said that this is a pension and is not a hotel so they can do what ever he want? We said them that we where going to call the police, they laughted of us and said us that the police was their friend. As we didnt want more problems, we returned to our new room that they given us where of course the noise was horrible. We try to rest, but you can imagine....and the next day early in the morning we discover a little present from them in our rent car, one of the tire was punctured. This is what you can find in Motanul Galanton PENSION, absolutly not recommended.
